Festival Musical Walk: Blyth Estuary and Henham Estate ~ Suffolk

  • Meet at Snape Maltings Concert Hall Snape Suffolk, IP17 1SP United Kingdom (map)

It is well known that Benjamin Britten arrived at many of his ideas on daily “composing walks”, and that his music is entwined with the landscape of the Suffolk Coast. Take part in this walk, with the chance for a wild swim.

The walk takes us along the old Southwold railway line to Blythburgh Church, known as the “Cathedral of the Marshes”. Walkers will enjoy the sweeping grounds of Henham Estate, home to Latitude Festival, with the option of wild swimming. After lunch by the lake we will enjoy epic views of the Blyth estuary from its northern banks.

A picnic lunch and coach travel is included in the ticket price.
