An eclectic range of pioneering artists

The BBC Concert Orchestra lends its powerful sound to an eclectic range of pioneering artists in BBC Radio 3’s Unclassified Live, with presenter Elizabeth Alker.

Discover composers evading categorisation with the BBC Concert Orchestra, conductor André de Ridder and BBC Radio 3 host Elizabeth Alker. You’re invited to enjoy music that transcends genres, conjured up by the full forces of the orchestra in a live concert version of Alker’s BBC Radio show, Unclassified.

This time, collaborating with the BBC Concert Orchestra are three exciting artists: experimental metal band Divide and Dissolve premieres brand new music, composed especially for Unclassified Live; the unclassifiable British-Nigerian multidisciplinary artist Nwando Ebizie goes fully symphonic; and singer-songwriter Bill Ryder-Jones combines his distinct mood music with poetry in new orchestral arrangements of his tracks.

Alker is your guide to the outer reaches of sound, offering on-stage introductions and interviews to a selection of intriguing composers.
