A concert of songs by David Braid, performed in an art gallery in Hoxton.

Composer David Braid has set some 60+ poems to music over the course of his career so far. This performance presents two books of his settings of poems by Lorca, Mallarme, R.S. Thomas, Liao Chung-K’ai, Ho Hsiang-ning, Shakespeare and Bunyan.

Critically acclaimed soprano, Susanna MacRae, is joined by virtuoso guitarist David Black in this evening of intimate songs, punctuated by Braid's brief and haunting solos for guitar.
