To celebrate Japanese composers and culture, this concert will feature classical music written by Japanese composers alongside O Hototogisu! by British composer Oliver Knussen, depicting various landscapes of Japan. The performance will conclude with the premiere of Sakamoto Ryuichi's A flower is not a flower arrangement by Rieko Makita.
The concert will be led by 2023 Constant & Kit Lambert Fellowship awardee and pianist, Rieko Makita. She will be joined by leading musicians of the Royal College of Music.
