Mystery, Dreams, Intrigue ~ South Kensington, London

  • Royal College of Music Prince Consort Road South Kensington, London, SW7 2BS United Kingdom (map)

‘Night’ has been a source of inspiration for composers all over the world. This immersive performance will combine night-inspired piano pieces with moving visuals, featuring best-loved works – Chopin’s Nocturnes and Debussy’s Clair de Lune – alongside beautiful hidden gems & new compositions with electronics by RCM composers Delyth Field. The visual projection will be created by students from the Royal College of Art, Teodora Serbanescu and Bethan Hancock.

This Junior Fellow Showcase by Rieko Makita (Constant/Kit Lambert Fellow of Royal College of Music) intends to showcase the innovative technological capabilities of the newly renovated Performance Studio of RCM, and its ability to create an immersive concert experience which goes beyond the traditional classical music setting.
