HOWL is a group of singers from different disciplines from folk to opera. They will perform their original compositions along with arrangements of folk songs from the British Isles, contrapuntal music from Venezuela, choral works by Caroline Shaw and pieces by experimental composers Meredith Monk and Moondog, weaving in soundscapes and field recordings. Expect a lush blend of voices singing music that ranges from haunting to joyful to the downright absurd.
HOWL’s debut EP was produced earlier this year by Cosmo Sheldrake and released on Tardigrade Records. They have provided vocals for artists such as Jessie Buckley and Bernard Butler, Johnny Flynn, Mr Jukes and Barney Artist, Josephine Foster. HOWL are Kate Huggett, Elly Condron, Natty Pela, Rose Stachniewska, Lydia Samuels, Rosalie Warner, Rosa Slade, Helen Potter and Heloise Turnstall-Behrens.
