‘Experimental’ is not a word one would typically use to describe George Frideric Handel these days, and yet in his life the composer was quite the trailblazer. Handel was also without doubt the greatest songwriter of his day and if he were alive now he would be writing melodies and tunes for all the greatest artists.
Inspired by the innovative spirit of Handel, Nonclassical and the London Handel Festival collaborate for the first time to present a curated evening of adventurous and experimental approaches to songwriting in the 21st century, with artists making boundary-defying work at the cutting edge of the new music scene.
This performance signals the beginning of an exciting new partnership between LHF and nonclassical. This special event features brand new sets from some of the most exciting and radical musicians on today’s scene, plus a special DJ set from nonclassical founder Gabriel Prokofiev.
Join us for this special event in one of London’s most iconic clubs and hear for yourself how Handel’s music continues to inspire musicians today.
