Schumann’s Frauenliebe, Reimagined sees singer Claire Booth, classical pianist Alisdair Hogarth and Jazz legend Jason Rebello bring extraordinary musicianship to bear on the frontiers between jazz and classical music. Having long been fascinated by the intersection between different areas of music, these musicians take the opportunity to explore Schumann’s pivotal song cycle, Frauenliebeund Leben, reinterpreting this work through a prism of musical styles, combining and contrasting both new and existing harmonies which further both the emotional journey and musical landscape.
