A workshop on creating theatre for young audiences tailored specifically for classical musicians

MishMash Productions is excited to present a day-long workshop on creating theatre for young audiences tailored specifically for classical musicians, led by the esteemed Chloe Stephens. As the Artistic Director of Page One Theatre and Head of Drama at Morley College London, Chloe brings a wealth of experience in directing devised and collaborative theatre. Her passion for theatre for young audiences and the power of play makes her an exceptional guide for musicians looking to enhance their stage presence and storytelling abilities.

Chloe will share her practice, which is informed by Michael Chekhov’s imaginative and collaborative techniques for performers. She is a member of the Chekhov Collective UK, you can read more about it here. In an open-hearted and playful exchange you will:

– explore how to engage with young audiences in an immediate and genuine way,

– discover surprising approaches to performing classical music and using your instruments

MishMash Productions is dedicated to transforming perceptions of what classical music could and should be for young and family audiences across the UK. We are always on the lookout for new talent to collaborate with us in creating bold, music-led productions. We are running a series of free workshops (Connect) to upskill classical musicians and meet new people interested in this work – do join us in this creative journey and discover new dimensions to your musical expression.
