Marking its 10th anniversary, the fifth edition of Bristol New Music boasts major international artists alongside homegrown talent, with events in clubs, churches and concert halls across the city.
Performers include Apartment House, Marie Vermeulin, Quatuor Bozzini with an all female programme, Elaine Mitchener, and Sebastian Gramss plus the first performance by Ensemble Shui Mo -a brand-new group of dynamic young players, dedicated to commissioning and performing new repertoires of contemporary music mixing traditional East Asian and Western instruments. Shui Mo will be performing five premieres by Bristol composers Eunseog Lee (UK) Michael Ellison (USA/Turkey), Zhihong Guo (China), Yingying Wen (China) and Yuting Chang (Taiwan).
The programme also covers jazz, roots and electronic and takes place in concert halls, churches and clubs.
